The Wild Woman Series: 2nd Chapter - La Loba

The Wild Woman Series: 2nd Chapter — La Loba In our second gathering, we sit with La Loba, the bone-gatherer — an old woman who lives hidden in the desert, collecting what everyone else has left for dead. Bone by bone, she assembles what's been scattered and broken, and when the skeleton is complete, she sings over it until it rises, runs, and becomes alive again. This session is about restoring what's been lost or discarded in yourself. Drawing from Clarissa Pinkola Estés' Women Who Run With the Wolves, we explore the bones as the indestructible, essential self — the part of you that cannot be killed, no matter how buried, no matter how long it's been left in the desert. We'll ask together: What part of myself have I left for dead? What would it take to sing over those bones? And we'll close in ritual, each woman naming aloud one quality she's gathering back. This is patient, unglamorous work — the kind La Loba herself models. No spiritual background required. Just a willingness to show up honestly, and begin gathering yourself back.
